Events

Track RSVPs and check guests in — attendance auto-logs an engagement touch that feeds your donor pipeline.

Find it: Left nav → Events · Who can use it: Staff and fundraisers (write access can create events and manage RSVPs); board viewers can read. Committee members don't have access.

What you'll see

The main Events card lists every event with its date, location, capacity, and a Published/Draft status. Click an event name to open its detail page, where a summary card shows the date, location, and seats, and an RSVPs panel tracks who's going, attended, and the total.

How to create an event

  1. Click New event.
  2. Enter a Name (required). Optionally add a Description, Date & time, Location, Capacity, and Ticket price.
  3. Click Create event.

How to add an RSVP

  1. Open the event and click Add RSVP.
  2. Under RSVP for, choose A donor or A guest.
    • A donor: search by name or email and pick the match.
    • A guest: enter a guest name and/or email. A guest email that matches an existing donor is linked to that donor automatically.
  3. Set the Status (Going, Invited, Not going, or Waitlist) and click Add RSVP.

How to change RSVP status

On the RSVPs panel, use the status dropdown next to any person to switch between Invited, Going, Not going, and Waitlist. Changes save instantly.

How to check a guest in

Click Check in next to the person. Their row flips to an Attended badge, and the going/attended counts update. To remove someone, use the trash icon.

Good to know

  • Checking in auto-logs a neutral engagement touch on the donor's timeline — with no pipeline stage change. The point isn't event management; it's feeding real engagement into the pipeline.
  • Guests are marked with a guest badge until they're linked to a donor by matching email.
  • Paid tickets are coming. If you set a ticket price, the event shows a note that online payments aren't enabled yet — they'll ride the same Stripe Connect rails as donations. Free RSVP works today.
