Team & Roles

Invite teammates, set what each person can see and do, and manage members and pending invitations.

Find it: Left nav → Settings → Members & invitations · Who can use it: Org Admins / CDOs only.

What you'll see

Three sections stacked down the page: Invite a teammate (an email box and role picker), Members (everyone currently in your org with a role dropdown and a remove button), and Pending invitations (people you've invited who haven't joined yet), which only appears when you have outstanding invites.

The five roles

  • Org Admin / CDO — full access, including billing, settings, payments, exports, and managing the team. The only role that can do everything.
  • Development Associate — day-to-day fundraising: add, import, edit, and log donors, gifts, and interactions; run campaigns and the pipeline.
  • Committee Chair — leads a volunteer committee and its assigned donor segment; sees engagement and contact info, not lifetime giving or wealth details.
  • Committee Member — works their assigned committee; sees relationship and contact info but not giving history, wealth capacity, or receipts.
  • Board Viewer — read-only board-level view; sees dashboards and reports without editing anything.

How to invite a teammate

  1. In Invite a teammate, enter the person's Email.
  2. Pick a Role from the dropdown.
  3. Click Invite. The invitation is created and the invite link is copied to your clipboard.
  4. Paste that link to the person (e.g. by email or chat). They open it, sign in, and join with the role you chose.

How to change or remove a member

  1. In the Members list, find the person.
  2. To change their access, pick a new role from the dropdown next to their name — it saves right away.
  3. To remove them, click the trash icon on their row.
  4. You can't change or remove your own row (it's marked "(you)").

How to resend or revoke an invitation

  1. In Pending invitations, find the invite. Each shows the email, role, and expiry date.
  2. Click the copy icon to copy the invite link again and resend it.
  3. Click the trash icon to revoke it — the link stops working.

Good to know

  • Invite links expire; the expiry date is shown on each pending invitation.
  • Automated invitation emails are coming in a later release. For now, share the copied link yourself.
  • Only Org Admins reach this screen; everyone else is redirected to the dashboard.
  • To free up more seats or raise limits, see Billing.
